Henchpeople Unite! Local #1
Supervillain Superzoom Summit: Attend or Else!
Megalopolis Capers: The Lavender Incident
Sidekicks Game Night: Star Travels 3000
It's Friday night in Megalopolis and the Marquis of Malfeasance
has called a summit of supervillains, the heroes are discussing
the Lavender Incident, the sidekicks are having their regular game
night, and the henchpeople are plotting.
This game will have up to four separate groups that may or may
not interact with each other. (How many segments will run depends
on the number of players.) Opposing interests may exist within a
group. Roleplaying is emphasized over problem solving. Many
characters have goals that are not possible to achieve within this
game. This is about scheming, plotting and interpersonal dynamics,
not executing plans.
This game is a lighthearted four-color comedy. If you know
comics, think Silver Age DC: sometimes wacky, generally earnest,
almost always morally clear-cut. Other influences include The
Tick, Squirrel Girl, and the 1960s Batman TV series. Heroes and
villains aren’t all incompetent or (from their own perspective)
silly, on the whole, but they can be absurd seen from outside.
Concept - Meetings of the superheroes,
supervillains, sidekicks, and henchpeople of the city of
Megalopolis
Aim - roleplaying emphasized, solving problems
is not, many characters have goals that are not possible to
achieve within this game. This is about scheming and plotting, not
executing plans.
Tone - lighthearted four-color comedy. If you
know comics, think Silver Age DC: sometimes wacky, generally
earnest, almost always morally clear-cut. Other influences include
The Tick, Squirrel Girl, and the 1960s Batman TV series. Heroes
and villains aren’t all incompetent or (from their own
perspective) silly, on the whole, but they can be absurd seen from
outside.
Subject matter - Supers setting with both
supers and normals as characters
Content Considerations:
This game is light-hearted, but includes gaslighting, possible
failure, rodents, dogs, non-graphic references to surgery/medical
topics, character illness, backstory references to kidnapping and
other crimes, past failed romantic relationships, past and current
toxic employer/employee relationships, parent/child relationships,
mind/memory alteration, and prior loss of limb.
Not all of these are featured in each subgroup, but we cannot
guarantee that they will not be brought up. Intensity of character
relationship interactions can be negotiated between players.
Character sheets are 3-4 pages and bluesheets are 5-8 pages.
A smartphone with Discord installed is strongly recommended.
